I can understand how the majority of baseball would not want to pay that full freight for 5-6 innings per start and the possibility of another major injury. Michael King 3/$75 million has a lot less wear and tear due to his years as a reliever in NY. He's the "bargain." That’s what he implied when speaking on Baseball Isn’t Boring podcast, and stated that the title of retired doesn’t sit right when discussing the end of an active playing career. Retiring is something my grandmother did. That’s so disrespectful. I’m sorry to all you out there watching that work real jobs— you guys deserve to retire— but athletes don’t.
