Since this entire White Sox Reign of Terror seems like it was meant to follow the script of Major League minus Rachel Phelps' non-politically correct cardboard mannequin being stripped down, I'll take it.

Lou Brown is definitely dead in real life. and Eddie Harris (greaseball soft tosser) is 82...Dennis Haysbert is 70 (gone on to do countless commercials), Charlie Donovan (front office exec) is dead, Bob Uecker is 90, Suzanne Dorn left Hollywood in 1992, Renee Russo is 70.  Corbin Bernsen/Roger Dorn is 70 and Tom Berenger 75.   Apparently Margaret Whitton/Rachel Phelps has also passed away, sadly.

Can't find the two Asian dudes who opine "They suck."  and then later, "They still suck."

Caulfield why did you have to bring up Bob Uecker's age. This was an all-time jinx.

You posted it right there.  Yes, there is a dead period for a month.

Thought it was easier just to find the answer myself...

Once you make it to 90, every day is a bonus.  Honestly, lots of people lose the will to live at that point unless they're fortunate enough to have a higher quality of life than being confined to a nursing home/assisted living center.

Caulfield killed Uke?  Wow.

Hard to do from China...maybe I sent the Terracotta warrior army (they're SUPPOSED to be on holiday for Chinese New Year's) from here in Xi'an.

I mean...can't even protect Caitlin Clark from crazy stalkers or prevent the Hawkeye women from imploding at Carver Hawkeye.

Has until 2 PST on the 23rd...exactly one week left.

No way he goes back to Japan.

The so-called experts/insiders all predicted an announcement on the 20th...giving teams three days to scramble around to pick up more bonus pool money, very "high cost" money at that point since he's arguably worth $300-400 million minimum on the free market.

Think NFL All Pro QB on a rookie deal...

Jays fans not optimistic.

"Randomly, the Jays are apparently looking at Tim Hill. Lefty groundballer might be a nice fit for an infield with both Gimenez and Clement on defense."   source: bluebird banter

They're pissed about Guerrero, Jr., likely getting away and then there are rumors of taking on the KeBryan Hayes deal from Pitt after they already got "stuck" with Gimenez from the Guardians, two defense first players with not insiflgnificant salaries.

Let's just call them big budget teams' version of Josh Rojas.

Almost zero confidence in Sasaki deal after bait and switch with Ohtani a year ago.

For shame, @caulfield12…  for shame…

Somebody has to have known he was suffering from cancer...

This is an odd one...like going to the JFK assassination site last summer and coming out to news that Trump had been shot in the ear in PA.

Well maybe it's also tempting Jobu to curse the Sox for emulating "Major League" all the way down on complaints about the team plane, which became my avatar out of fondness for the original movie (and a walk off bunt in the spirit of Sox recent managers.)

And of course, San Diego making the move that is going to bring Sasaki home:

90 year olds don’t need other people jinxing them.

Luckily former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Lujack (ND) didn't die jumping into my car and stopping it when I accidentally left it in neutral and it started rolling backwards when I was in high school...and I left Arthur Marshall's non profit in 1996 well before the former NFL WR was remanded to Miami federal prison on real estate fraud charges related to 2007-09 lol.

Lastly, Herschel Walker was the keynote speaker at our charity event...jinxed him too, couldn't have plausibly predicted a political turn way back then.

More 5D Chess.

Reportedly in the greatest shape of his life.

(Well, they already have Campusano Sullivan and maybe Higashioka...)

Mentor for Sasaki in spring training???...will be specifically assigned to catch just him.

Padres hired former Mariners' manager Scott Servais

"Scott Servais was a very good catcher for the Astros. I remember his amazing performance catching Mike Hampton against the Padres, when Hampton suddenly lost the plate - by a lot. Amazingly, despite walking the bases loaded with twelve consecutive incredibly bad pitches (one pitch to a lefty hitter missed the right-handed batter's box!), there was only one wild pitch and no passed balls.

The Padres need a veteran catcher, how old is Servais? Um, 57. Never mind.

Maybe he can work with Campy/Campusano, Sasaki and Maldonado."

He also made sure to rep the city and the organization.

The city, the country behind you. All the research that we have. I mean the complex is incredible. Just the mandates we have in Toronto. The way they treat our players and the families, it's second to none. The "comfortability" we bring to players. It's super special.

He's not the only one. Former Blue Jays pitcher Yusei Kikuchi often spoke fondly of the city and the organization, and there are rumours that the one-tome All-Star spoke to Sasaki on behalf of the Jays.

The Jays are known throughout the league for their prime pitching development at the major league level; Francis' success during the second half of last year is a perfect example of this. This type of program in one of things that is intriguing and of value to the Japanese phenom.

Cuz…  Iguchi?

No, actually, it's the pickup of Canaan Smith-Njigba.

The Sox ended up signing him.  I never said he was a savior.  I’m not sure what your point is or what that Sox acquisition from last year has anything to do with Sasaki.  Or are you just trolling?

Maybe we're confused about which sport we're competing in...if it was football WR's, we'd be pretty much set.

Absolutely shocking news to pretty much no one except for a few dreamers, Sasaki is down to two west coast teams.  Go figure!!!

It’s funny too, because I saw someone post that a flight from Chicago to Japan isn’t that much longer than from the west coast.  🙄

And then there were two.

I would put Toronto into that bucket, plus they have a giant Asian/Japanese/migrant population,  friendly sports media, low pressure environment,  and a willingness to spend money.

I should created a Chicago based food account and sent this as a more cryptic tweet.
