It is an odd allegation by you against someone who has attended hundreds of games including many at the original Comiskey dating back to 1970, someone who has attended over 35 Opening days, has hundreds of friends and relatives (including my sons and their friends) who are Sox fans, has been a season ticket holder, and supports our players and the organization. How many games do you attend each year? My guess is zero. Edited April 27 by tray

Nah, Kyyle is the just right amount of not needing to get lectured by Jerry’s superfanboy about what he should and shouldn't think based on your hypocritical interpretations of Jerry’s actions vs everyone else's. Quit projecting your anger at those who don't fall into your line, as their anger. This is your anger and your problem, and literally no one else's. 1

77 Hitmen
4 hours ago, Dick Allen said: Comcast was in business with these teams and each team let themselves go to hell. They aren’t going to take on risk being in business with them again. Also, did each team opt to end their partnership with Comcast at the end of their previous contract? Or was that a mutual decision by all parties involved? If it was the former, to add to your point, why would Comcast be open to giving the 3 teams what they want now when they previously decided they'd rather cut Comcast out from the slice of their revenue pie? At any rate, the RSN is broken nationwide. It's not just a Jerry Reinsdorf thing even though he's painted himself into a corner by allowing his team to fall to a historically bad level of play just as their TV deal ended. Comcast wants to move the Cubs to their higher tier, too, and it is no longer motivated to pass along RSN fees to all customers (whether they want the sports networks or not) - even for the more popular bad guys on the North Side. MLB needs to figure out something to address the collapse of local TV revenue in many markets. Edited April 27 by 77 Hitmen

Yes, I remember that with the Cubs. But was it the same for the Sox/Bulls/Hawks partnership with NBCSC where it was the teams that initiated the end of their partnership? Someone a few months ago suggested that Marquee and CHSN could merge, but that sounded like pure speculation as far as I know. https://awfulannouncing.com/local-networks/chicago-sports-network-marquee-merger-possible-comcast-dispute.html

As the self appointed best fan of this team, It’s quite clear you hold yourself as the best fan of this team on the site, because of your constant attendance of the games. You show no actual ability to be critical of the team, only of other fans of the team who are critical of the team. My attendance dropped when they started to suck, and will continue until they show an actual commitment to winning. I’m a firm believer in “a fool and his money are soon parted” and clearly you like to part with your money frequently in front of terrible entertainment. I certainly wouldn’t do that, but I’m not the one that shows up to this site and grandstands as the best fan and talks down to everyone who has a different opinion and calls them liars or cubs fans when they disagree. No I would never stoop to a childish insult like that, I will just tell you that you suck right to your face 😀 super happy you keep handing Jerry your dollars, bud. It’s incredibly kind of you. I’m sure he holds you in high esteem when you talk s%*# about your next owner 2
caulfield12
Tray...I'm just curious why you actually believe that JR would suddenly start spending like it's 2006 again...or even 2020-2022? He also hasn't shown any interest in investing even a single dollar into a new stadium...yet steadfastly maintains he can't compete in the existing one he approved. Even the TB Rays ownership team was investing $700 million into that project before it started to collapse after the hurricane damage to the Trop roof. They opted out of the network at the end of their contract in 2024. Comcast had tried to negotiate an extension more than once, with the last offer to carry the bulls and hawks in 24-25, which would have delayed CHSN's launch. the wirtz and reinsdorf families said no.
