Surely the demand for Dalbec will be so low that Boston will be able to sign him to a minor league deal and not need to immediately open a 40 man spot by claiming him.

Would have kept Dalbec over Palacios anyday .....

I kind of  liked Dalbec - sorry to see him go.

Mike Vasil split 2023 between the Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies and Triple-A Syracuse Mets. In 26 starts split between the two affiliates, he compiled a 5-6 record and 4.65 ERA with 138 strikeouts across 124 innings pitched.^[8] Vasil spent the 2024 campaign with Syracuse, making 29 appearances (27 starts) and struggling to an 8-10 record and 6.04 ERA with 109 strikeouts over 134 innings of work.^[9]
