Sounds like both Hahn and that guy must’ve failed miserably to not have any near MLB ready players right now. That's true, no one can succeed in a job when they take over for their boss who sucked Instead of prejudging people maybe give them a chance. If not, enjoy the misery for the next few years. 2

If I wanted to crash out in the loop, I would visit Chicago.

A new guy is in charge give him a chance. That's all I've said. If this guy sucks get a new one. But I will give him a chance to prove it one way or another. Who was the Minor League Director for a good portion of Hahns tenure? This is the issue. The guy has had his chance and he failed upward You need to be pretty drunk to think he is the guy that is going to fix this. Now, they compare everything to last year. The most losses in the history of modern baseball. And a slight uptick has some excited. They are a garbage organization. 1

Not everything that was just the example. You didn't ask about everything. It is not all or none. One thing is not everything. Although, with their structure it was hard to tell who was the person in charge Hahn or KW. You could make a case that person was responsible for everything as they were in charge. But never the fault of only one person for everything.

Meanwhile, Getz was part of the same failure while serving as Hahn’s director of player development and assistant GM and yet he is still here. But in your above post, it can either be all Hahn’s fault or the fault might not all be on one person and it was either Kenny or Hahn, or both, but definitely not Getz? You are basically just speaking in circles and aren’t really taking a stance on anything. But you definitely appear to be excusing Getz of any blame in his previous roles. 1 hour ago, ptatc said: Again, if there were an abundant near mlb ready players, Hahn would still be here. I don't think just because is was a poorly run organization that everyone one in it was automatically terrible. Frquently, its because boss doesn't allow the people under the to do their jobs. Maybe doesn't give them the support or resources to do their jobs well. I've worked at plenty of places that were poorly run and thus ineffective. Bit when someone else took over, even from the inside it improved dramatically. I'm not saying its going to happen, but I'm willing to give it a chance. Never said it was Hahn. You keep seeing what you want to see. Could have been KW. Could be they way management worked with JR. Could be the combo of all of them. Could have been Getz too in his previous role. Maybe in that role he learned what was wrong and has a good idea if how to fix it. I never said that Getz wasn't an issue or still cant be an issue. I don't have enough information to determine that yet.

If JR doesn't allow people to do their jobs, and Getz worked for him for 6 or 7 years so he would know, why would he want the Sox GM job? JR is awful, but he can be overcome. See Himes, Larry. We all know the answer to this one — cuz no other MLB team was ever giving Getz a GM job at any point in the near future, if ever. He failed upward and was promoted as a loyal minion of JR.

The Rockies will ultimately have the worst record but can’t get a draft pick higher than #10. All the other teams mentioned, along with the Sox, have a lottery chance at #1. The worst record improves your chances at #1. https://www.tankathon.com/mlb Edited May 30 by WhiteSox2023 1
