Lots of talk about runaway concessions prices (free food included at home park in Georgia for $35 tickets with precisely timed two hours games) comparatively across the four major sports. And there's former legendary Sox player Matt Skole as well. wegner
Saw them last year in Iowa and I will be at the Friday game at Sox park next month. It is just a fun time but I am sure it is not for everyone.
southsider2k5
I did try to get tickets from them at Sox park, and didn't even qualify for the lottery.

Sox guy
There's still baseball on channel 62.2. But it's bananaball. It was faux baseball for kids, hardly appealing to us. Music plays during the whole game, tthey sing don't stop believing, which was cool. Talent level seem a-ball at best. It was meh. Commentator was annoying, a temu joey styles.

They only do one bit. I think we know why they’re calling it “America’s team”. I’m a Chicagoan thus I like homoerotic performances, it’s just like, come up with a new idea, bros

If I was willing to purchase a full price box to the Bananas, I could get a Sox game 40% off.

chitownsportsfan
I like it and think baseball needs more stuff like this. Nobody complains that the Harlem Globetrotters aren't real basketball. Just get people out to an event and let them have fun while exposing the game to new audiences.
greg775
It says something that the Bananas could sell out Yankee Stadium a night or two. Think about that. All those people to see baseball's globetrotters. Insane. ... Their uniforms are glorious. Do they charge for parking? They really don't need to to make a zillion dollars. Modern sports cost too much money period. Can you imagine if the secondary market did not exist and fans had to pay what it says on the ticket the past few seasons on the south side?
