Autumn Dreamin
Bonemer finally back in the lineup for Kanny at DH. Picked up where he left off with a RBI double in his first AB. Knocked in Ely Brown who just missed his first pro HR to about the same spot.

Autumn Dreamin
Early going, but Smith's velo is up from his last start. Scoreless first with 1K. It's also his birthday 🎉

Autumn Dreamin
Smith through 4 without breaking a sweat. 1 infield hit, 1 walk, 6 Ks
Autumn Dreamin
Smith gave up a cheapie in the 5th. Walk advanced to 3rd on a single and called safe at home on a close play on a bunt FC. Final line 5IP, 1ER, 2H, 2BB, 7K. For what it's worth, I didn't think the misses were bad. Zone seems a little tight.

Autumn Dreamin
Braden's doubles streak ends at 7 games, but he still increased his OPS by going 1-2 with 2 walks. Coffey was great out of the pen with 2 perfect innings and 5Ks.
SoCalChiSox
Very encouraged by Hagen cutting down on walks while maintaining strikeouts. Braden adding more plate discipline is great Puzzled as to why they haven't promoted Bonemer.

Don't have exact numbers with no Statcast, just feel like I remember seeing more FBs at ~93 last time out and more 95+ today. Caleb Bonemer immediately paying dividends in his return from a nagging hip injury. Long season nearing the end and the above probably a part of it also. zisk
Quite likely BMont is in Chicago next May. Antonacci might be right behind him. The Sox could hit 70+ wins next year. I wonder what happens with Schultz. If it was the knee holding him back, 2027 could be a breakout year for the big league club.

I'd be shocked if Braden was in Chicago in May. He needs to maintain his performance for more than a month and when his BABIP normalizes. He also needs to get that K rate down and then he'll need some time in AAA. He could definitely be in Chicago by this time next year though. There's alot to be excited about, but he still needs time. No evidence to support this but I don’t think time (body of work) is as important as it used to be.
