I just hope they’re not dead set on him being a starter.  Enough middle infielders elsewhere in organization that he seems best suited as a utility guy.

Rarely seen a guy like Sosa try and compeltely refresh his approach late season. I don't mind it.

I think trialing him in the bottom third of the order for longer than was strictly necessary coming off the IL might have been a sign of shifting away from "bonafide leadoff 2B" and more towards "contact oriented utility guy."

I gotta say I'm happily shocked Shane Smith is pitching well again in the dog days of the season. Sox are being smartly aggro with him it seems.
