Any suggestions of what they should do in their spare time and is it safe there, etc? I think the wedding is in the moutains by Medellin. I was too afraid to attend because of fear of kidnappings. thanx.I hope they have a great time. Colombia is much safer now than it was in the past. Like most other places in the world, you won't find trouble unless you look for it. Medellin is a relatively modern city and has made strides in its infrastructure after some successful technocratic mayors. I'd only suggest extra vigilance if they plan on partying throughout the night in Medellin. Obviously don't go looking for drugs or follow strange women around, and don't wander off drunk and alone. The countryside will be beautiful for them. Perfect temperature and the mountains around Medellin hold some of the largest flower farms in the world. I think only second behind the Netherlands. I would highly recommend touring some of the farms if they can, or taking some horseback rides like caulfield mentioned. It is truly gorgeous. Many people recommend a tour of Guatape and climbing the Guatape rock is a big tourist activity. It is pretty, but I also found it to be a pain in the ass getting up it, especially on a hot day. Should be mindful that it's a taxing hike if anyone has mobility issues. Lastly, they should gorge themselves on empanadas. They'll salivate the rest of their lives thinking about them ๐

I just have never wanted to go to south america. I've traveled to most of the states in USA but only London overseas plus Canada of course. I just picture myself like the guys in Hangover One. I could see me getting thrown in a trunk of a car or be missing 3 days and tortured. I feel like I should stay put. KU is playing in Vegas this year so I might go to the tourney even tho vegas is now a ripoff IMO.

Without any advertisements, after every 2 minutes, they can experience something different while watching FIFA. Hosting the World Cup serves as a massive catalyst for the US Women's National Team.It helps speed up the growth of their team. As for the revenue collected by the men's team, the money collected also goes to the funds for the USWT. The World Cup acts as a gateway drug for sports fans. Millions of casual American viewers who tune in to watch the global spectacle are going to turn into new football fanatics, and will turn to women's football to keep the feeling alive." We heard all this same stuff in 1992 when the US hosted it and then still nobody cared until 30+ years later. It's a nice story for a couple months. There is nothing more boring than a soccer game in my opinion. The average soccer game scores like 3 goals in 90+ minutes. Imagine if basketball had no shot clock today and every team ran a 4 corners offense and took a shot every 10 minutes. That's soccer. It's popular amongst young kids because any uncoordinated kid who can run can be on the team and not look completely terrible, he can blend in. And then they get a participation trophy.

And then they get a participation trophy. It was actually 1994.One major advantage is that anyone can play, regardless of height...in fact, some of the biggest superstars like Messi and Pele have been in the 5`9" to 5'11" range. You can't say the same about basketball, for instance. And basketball has so much scoring now that a lot of fans don't even bother to tune in until the fourth quarter. It's also much less dangerous than football, where there's only 3-4 minutes of real action per game (leading to seemingly hundreds of commercials if one includes halftime as well as pre and postgame), and it certainly requires much less expensive equipment to participate.1. SoccerSoccer remains the most popular youth sport in America, and for good reason. It's accessible, inclusive, and works for kids of all ages and skill levels. Boys and girls play together when they're young, and leagues exist in nearly every community. Why kids love it: Constant action, minimal equipment, and you get to run around a lot. What parents should know: Soccer is relatively affordable compared to other sports, and most communities have both rec and club options. It's a great first sport for young kids because the rules are simple and everyone gets to touch the ball

When your team is only up a goal, every opposition attack becomes worrisome. When your team is chasing a goal the desire to score becomes fanatical. There are all types of different ways to attack in the sport and understanding those philosophies and tactics really changes the way you see it. Anyway, 33million people watched last night. The Prem gets about 500k-1.5m viewers every weekend at 9am. For reference, Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN averaged around 2m. The game is popular and not just with grade schoolers.
