JR not being "the worst" owner instead being "one of" the worst owners is little consolation don't you think?

The on-field record since the start of the 2007 season is one of the worst in MLB and it's clear for whatever reason JR doesn't seem to mind that fact.

JFC!! Is he even that? Some of you guys won't even admit that letting staff deal drugs to athletes that kill them is worse, as happened with the Angels. We all seem to keep forgetting that when we're dealing with billionaires, we're dealing with money addicts. Reinsdorf bought the Sox and invested money. Then he embraced his addiction and stopped caring about "winning" which is a much lesser addiction.

They think that the fact they found a wrinkle in the money matrix means they are superior thinkers at all levels. They're all addicts. You might get a 3-5 year golden age with Ishbia. Then he'll succumb to the same disease. You should pray to your God that he keeps Getz in place, and gives him a directive to keep it going.

Yes...he most certainly is. The record speaks for itself. Seven playoff appearances in 46 years of ownership, in the third biggest market in the country.

He blows. He let his team lose 100+ games in a row for 3 straight seasons, sucked enough to trade away their best MLB players for top prospects, not spend any money, and for the prospects to finally start panning out. Jerry shouldn’t get credit for that s%*#. His strategy is basically to not spend any money, suck, get top prospects, and hope they pan out in an almost perpetual rebuild. I’ll take the devil we don’t know in Ishbia over the one we most assuredly know.

Oh, okay. You not getting a winning ballclub to root for is much worse than Tyler Skaggs dying of a Fentanyl OD supplied by team employees.

You are certainly a piece of work, Mr. Liptak.

Jerry allowed 2 of his GM’s to continue to pay Clevinger millions because he was best buds with an investor’s son.

You're described about 26 owners in the game. They all suck. Tax the rich.

Let’s not, and I’ll forget you said that. I aspire to be rich and don’t want to be fucked when I eventually am.

1) You'll never get rich to that level.
2) If you do, you'll be using way more of our governmental infrastructure than your tax rate accounts for.
3) see #1.
4) Please, remember that I said that. I can set a timer to remind you every single day, if you'd like.

1) Agreed. My version of rich isn’t Reinsdorf’s.

2) That’s BS. I’ve paid my share already by 46. You should see what gets yanked out of my annual bonuses. I’m likely retiring to WI early on a lake with good fishing, close enough to my boys. Although SS2K5 is making Indiana sound as desirable lately.

3) Agreed. Being “rich” is different to everyone. It’s all perspective.

4) No thanks. I’m good. I’m on pace for my plan for eventual retirement as I sit here at 46 and will be able to leave my two kids with inheritance and fish all day. I just need to avoid being stupid and getting married for a second time. 🤣

False equivalent. We're talking about two different situations.

JR may not be the "worst" as I said but that's no different from being one of the worst in my mind.

And yes I'm a piece of work I care about the White Sox, the issues with other teams is not my first concern. Nor is it my second concern or my third concern. As a baseball fan of the White Sox yes not having a good organization, a winning club is worse in my mind then Skaggs' unfortunate situation which was partly his own responsibility.

You can send me to hell if you wish, don't really care.

And let's not forget such "sterling" personalities as Tony Phillips, Albert Belle, Will Cordero, Brett Myers and Omar Vizquel.

And of course we've got this from my November 2022 story on the state of the Sox:

“You know about Mike Reinold right? (Author’s Note: Reinold is the White Sox Senior Medical Advisor) He was fired by the Red Sox because he was injecting players with Toradol.” (Author’s Note: Bleacher Report had a story on this situation published in February 2013. Here is the link to that story: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1530943-ex-red-sox-trainer-mike-reinold-injected-players-with-controversial-substance

No organization is completely innocent or guilt free.

Like I told West we're talking about two different issues i.e. on the field and off the field. I'm really only concerned with what happens on the field. I'm not a social justice warrior or a politician.

I can’t b**** about Tony Phillips. I absolutely loved that nose candy fuckstick when he was with the Sox. Go back and look at the stats that he put up in 1996 at age fucking 37. The booger sugar was empowering him.

His stance and swing were both unique and beautiful.

Unfortunately, the booger sugar eventually caught up with him and he died at age 56. RIP.

But yeah, he’s still one of my favorite Sox players from the 90’s era. Laugh if you wish, but Tony Phillips was the s%*#. .374 career OBP. 51 career WAR. He was a new age player for baseball at that time and an absolute wet dream for the stat nerds of today.

Minus the booger sugar of course, but that was all a part of his charm, outside of the frequent ejections. 😂
