Wow. Can you elaborate on what they did?
He sure hasn't seemed what I expected (even given rookie ups and downs)

I’d recommend reading the Sox Machine article above. It goes through this in detail with quotes from both Noah & Bove. Just sounds like they tinkered way too much and added a ton of complexity to his arsenal.

Great to see Shelton turning the corner at AA. He had some great batted ball data in High A and I was fairly optimistic about him. AA is a huge step and you don’t always see guys like Boston Smith get there and hit from day 1.

If you want to raise your OPS from .649 to .707 in one night, just hit three homers and take one walk. Easy.

The fact we are about to enter August and none of Schultz, Hagen, or Tanner have instilled any confidence in their ability to be major league pitchers is a massive concern. Throw in the complete Oppor meltdown and the ride range of injuries and it raises a lot of questions. Bannister feels like a guy who tries to get too cute and outsmart everyone. Changing Noah’s slider that was considered one of the best pitches in the minors is an example of that.

Wow, I had no idea he did this. I know Jimmy said they've really messed with him a lot this season.
