Old news...but forgot he was Canadian. At least he won't be as upset about renaming of Ontario to "Lake America" since he's from the western provinces.

I didn't even have to check to see who made the wildly unrelated political leap.

The leader of the free world cleared his desk to rename a lake (that he has no control over). Therefore it should not be a stretch to believe that every Canadian and American has this issue as their full priority if it’s this important.

"Born in Winkler, Manitoba, about 90 minutes southwest of Winnipeg, at 16 years old Peters made the roughly 13-hour trip west to attend the Dawgs Baseball Academy in Okotoks, Alberta, just south of Calgary. Peters said it was about that time that he realized he might get to play professional baseball someday.

“I think it started just before I moved out, I heard about this guy at Okotoks that was probably going to get drafted out of high school, his name was Clayton Keyes. And sure enough, he did. He turned it down and went to college, but that’s how I got motivated. I was like, ‘I want to do that.’ It didn’t happen in high school for me, so I had to take a little longer path, but it was a good path,” Peters said.

Peters went undrafted out of high school, but his baseball story continued. He started his college career at Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Arizona, then transferred to Southern Illinois University before the Brewers selected him in the seventh round of the 2021 draft. Along the way, he returned to Okotoks to play for the program’s summer college league team in the Western Canadian League in 2019."

I'm super happy he's doing well but also when he slumped some people wanted to throw him overboard. He's certainly got a lot of talent and if you look at Baseball savant you don't see great things but he has an awful lot of extra base hits from finding holes consistently that yeah this could be a career year but he's been super valuable and doing things that are needed badly.

There’s this excercise being done that precludes such and such other options in CF (or other positions) as if we have a done deal based on what happened this season. I would love to know where this crystal ball level certitude comes from. The magic store. Everything and everyone is on the table, fluid, and also a suspect. Including the late bloomer out of center field. Otherwise, lets just sign him for $300 million this winter. Is anyone willing to do that? No. Anything is possible.

Wedded ignorant bliss is preferred to always waiting or expecting for the other shoe to drop . Prolong the honeymoon as long as possible. When things go sour people will sign the divorce papers. Just seems an odd time time to yell " It's a mirage people" !

So what if some don't understand why Caleb Bonemer is playing CF , it's a very minority opinion and they aren't running the show.

If there are weaknesses on the Sox in terms of position players...they're corner outfield, catcher and DH related.

That's relative to expected big league average production from those spots...Antonacci is due to his defense and lack of HR power, although it has improved over time.

Ofc those are two rookies and then you have the Benintendi contract...he's been okay at DH but have needed Grichuk to level up against lefties (for Ant/Benintendi).

Recently, Colson and Mune, but they're not being replaced anytime soon.

He looks OK to me now.

If you look at Peters game log after the All-Star break until the Trade deadline, he was in a major funk.

He's magical. He's everything and then some. He even has a decent batting average in this era of not caring about batting averages. I love this guy. He's like Posednik times 3. He's like Rowand times four. Love this guy.
