The Sox have twice the amount of pitching fWAR as the Cubs. Their 6.0 pitching fWAR is the lowest ever for a playoff team. The 2nd lowest is the 1987 Twins at 6.3.

surely the Sox bullpen makes up about half of that or maybe more...Burke was only one carrying rotation numbers

Burke and Martin both have more fWAR than any Cubs pitcher at 3.2 and 2.6 respectively.

Throw in Kay at 1.3 and you've already beat the Cubs total.

Cubs had negative WAR in their bullpen while the Sox had 4.9. Sox starters also out paced Cubs starters 8 to 6.6.

About the only negative comment is it's not for the middle class and it gets cold near the ocean at night but nothing like SF

only city where Cronenworth Bogaerts Darvish Musgrove would not be booed for underperforming contracts

I've heard it's a great atmosphere in and around the park and their fans are pretty cool to visiting team fans....unless it's the Dodgers. Considering a road trip one of these seasons.

Yup the atmosphere is awesome. Easy to hang out before and after the games with all the bars around there. The stadium is really well integrated into the whole gas lamp district. You can take a glance into the stadium just walking around the neighborhood. It's a little like Wrigley, but actually well designed and modern. Also don't have to deal with annoying Cubs fans.

Pivetta then probably Buehler would be next

don't dare start Mize or Vasquez

maybe Robbie Ray, but that's doubtful too walks were way up again
