We get one and we want to fire him. If I have to sit through the bullshit of 2022, where we ranked #1 in batting average and had multiple .300 hitters but no 20 home run hitters, I will lose my s%*#.
3 hours ago3 hr For people concerned about batting average: the Toronto Blue Jays were second in the AL in batting average. They also hit 162 home runs. We all know the end of that. White Sox were near the league average in batting average.
3 hours ago3 hr Seven qualifying batters hit over .300 this year. .316 was the batting title. It's just not how the game is played anymore.

3 hours ago3 hr While they K a lot, they also take a lot of walks. Seems that it wouldn't me insurmountable to shift some of the thinking of the current roster to more contact instead of swinging for the fences.Colson absolutely must do that, or he'll end up as an infielder Palka. This sub .300 obp stuff is ridiculous

TBR #4.Tampa struck out the least number of times. LA 4th least. This is likely the world series matchup...Getting hits and not striking out is still really important. I am also not sure why walking and getting hits are mutually exclusive things, either. Not every swing needs to be for the fences. The White Sox approach sucks.

A strikeout is another out. And it's less destructive than a ground ball out. People need to accept that it isn't 2005 anymore. Edited 2 hours ago2 hr by Colome's Hat
2 hours ago2 hr can we get Adam Dunn to mentor Colson? To me that is who his North Star should be. Dunn was brilliant, in part, because of how patient he was at the plate. His injury in late 2012 deprived us of a potential 50 home run season.

Especially against Cleveland's pitchers.

They can find holes.
1 hour ago1 hr anyone hear Venable during the game say something like, not much coaching went on between game 4 and 5, these guys know what they gotta doEl oh el

I would have preferred that Mune hit the ball with the bases loaded....sometimes even pop ups are dropped....anyone remember Gordon Beckham??

Good pitching will exploit their hyper aggressive philosophy.

A slow runner at first and a slow runner up to bat. Lol. Even in that situation, they still have to turn the double play.
