We'd then have a real 1st AND 2nd baseman, who's offensive numbers would surpass what we're giving up. We'd probably have to throw in a player (Willie Harris?) or two, but.... :fthecubs

December 4, 200322 yr Expos can't add that kind of payroll. Thats 19 mill, if they had that kind of flexibility they would of kept Vazquez and would be signing Vladamir long term.

I am excited for the Kong trade though.

Hell just sign Julio Franco and Jesse Orosco while you're at it.... That would be a combined 130 yrs to your teams age.....

Now with Vasquez gone, Expos r gonna offa Vladimar a contract so backloaded, they can finally pay him offf when the team permantly moves from Montreal. And he wants to go to a place where there's plenty of Dominicans, and Balitmore doesn't hav many, so I'd say he'd prob stick with the Expos now.
