No s***!!!  That thread wreaks chauvinism and is utterly distastefull.  I haven't said much of anything about it until now, but portraying women in such ways, reducing women to sex objects, is completely despicable!  IT IS WHAT IS INSIDE A WOMAN THAT MAKES HER RESPECTABLE!  f*** society and its rotten popularization of objectifying sex and lauding pornographic representations!  95% of the pictures in that thread are HIGHLY distasteful.

Congrats to all who were lucky enough to be nominated, I guess 2000 plus post is not enough to get nominated in 03.

Dude, I don't know if you're being facetious or not, but there are 39 posters on SoxTalk with 1900 posts or more and only 9 categories (taking away foreign, rookie, thread, Mod, Admin which you weren't eligible for) to fit in.

 

So those 39 people were basically battling for 43 spots.....along with dozens if not hundered of posters with less than 2000 posts......And considering such very deserving people as witesoxfan, Critic, whitesox247, HSC, JimH, SI1020, LDF, FlaSoxxJim, Pastime, Tizzle, KochThis, Fainter, baggio, winodj, Jauggernaut, ws10682, WinUgly and a few others didn't get ONE nom......all b****ing is misplaced.

 

Post more, post better and you won't be snubbed in 2004. The end.

For the record folks... YOU all were the source of the nominations. YOU all posted or sent in your picks and they were narrowed to the top ones. In most cases, there were 3 or 4 TOP nod getters and 2 or 3 with only a couple. Several people ran away with several of the catagories. YOU all are responsible for the choices in the polls.

And earth to all...That thread is probably the culprit of all of the times Soxtalk has crashed.  The many useless pictures it bears ties up the server greatly.  There aren't any other threads with huge volumes of pictures as that one.

 

I thought this was a WHITE SOX board...Nothing of that nature would ever be allowed at Blackhawkzone.com or Whitesoxinteractive.com!  Nor would those two sites allow distasteful avatars or signatures...

I also have to add that putting this together took a LOT of time and effort by many, EXPECIALLY Tex.. and I honestly can not believe some of the complaints/comments I have seen. So much for organizing something fun, different, and entertaining..

Hell, I've been around for not alot of time....I think I was nominated for something...I dunno...but I'm not bothered by it one way or the other. Settle down, Beavises. EVERYONES posts on here are enjoyed by myself, well now that Roman is gone they are. Envy over popularity was supposed to end after High School, it'll all be ok!!

 

And to Steff and others concerning the "chauvanistic" thread, I agree. No one makes you look at that stuff if it bothers you. Whether or not you like it, 99% of us guys like to see females scantily clad, plain and simple.

I've been here since the beginning (Aug 02 I think) and until I looked at my total a second ago I thought I had less than 1000.

 

I got a few nods and I appreciate them but it doesn't really bother me either way (though I did want that anger management award ). I will say this though, I've never said this site doesn't deserve me.
