I think the line will be all right. Plus there are some good FA's out there on both sides of the line that the Bears can look at.
January 20, 200422 yr yup..if i had my choice id go with an offensive lineman first...rex looks kinda frail..we need to protect him In that case, if after workouts both Tom Gallery from Iowa or Shane Andrews from Arkansas stocks haven't fallen, I'd trade up and get one of them, and then just sign a good DT to help take up blockers so Urlacher can get to a few more guys. I do think the #1 need on both sides of the ball is getting a lineman.
January 20, 200422 yr 3 votes all for linemen.... You guys are all to practical... JA is going to take Kevin Jones if available. JA has already said he would have never drafted the A-train. Called him "unremarkable" or something like that.... If Jones somehow is gone before 14, I see angelo trading down, to take Steven Jackson and a the best available linemen.

January 20, 200422 yr Get either Tommie Harris or Wolfork and then sign Grant Winstrom(DE) in the off-season. This would allow them to use 3 rushers and then use Harris or Wolfork as a NT. Don't get Sapp, Winstrom had better numbers last year, is 4 years younger, loves Lovie Smith and will come cheaper (not cheap) Another Jerry will need to spend $$

It was found out that a ligament (or two) was torn. And they said the physician would find out if he needed surgery. Did rex get surgery on that hand (or thumb) or is he healing it naturally?

Also, they $20 million of cap room to address other needs as well as Rosie Colvin not playing this year for them. $20 million is not eaten up by the 21st and 32 overall picks. And Colvin will be back next year, so I don't know what you mean there.

I'm in.... I think maybe what we should do first is just have a roll call... And list your favorite teams, the ones you are most knowledgable about... For me that would be the Bears and Colts.... I know there's lots of fans for both of those teams here... I think whereever possible we should have the most knowlegable person pick for each team, but for the rest, I think it should just be random.

Maggsmaggs, while Kevin Jones could be very good, I don't think the Patriots would trade their two first round picks to get him. I think they'd rather get two players and get Chris Perry who, while is not as good as Kevin Jones, will get them 4-4.5 yards a carry. BTW, I love the mock draft idea. Sounds fun.
