March 31, 200422 yr Don't expect concessions to be cheaper than at a major league ballpark...beers are at least $5.00 apiece at TEB. You mean at TEP...? Beers.. in the plastic bottles, IIRC, are $3.00. Can someone who was just there confirm? At Disney's WWOS where the Braves call home beers were $2.75 for 12oz cans (and they GAVE us the can!!) and bottles were 16oz $3.50. Hot dogs were $1.50 and peanuts $2.00. Very reasonable, IMO. Heck.. at Cane County the cups of beers are only $3.50. I think they are 16oz... And the parking is a LOT cheaper also. Free at Disney if we didn't park in the preferred (which was $5.00) and we didn't pay over $3.00 anywhere else we went while in Florida.
March 31, 200422 yr My brother just came back from AZ, saw the SOx play the As in Oakland's park...beers were $6.50 for a 12 oz cup!
March 31, 200422 yr Author My brother just came back from AZ, saw the SOx play the As in Oakland's park...beers were $6.50 for a 12 oz cup! St. Patty's Day? I was there too.
March 31, 200422 yr If I recall correctly the beer was $3 for a plastic bottle from a vendor and more expensive for the larger drafts from concession stands. I highly reccomend going to the Mexican food stand down the third base line at TEP. I got a carne asada burrito there that was $5.50, but it was nothing but meat and tortilla and tasted awesome. Also, the big pretzels are only $2
March 31, 200422 yr My brother just came back from AZ, saw the SOx play the As in Oakland's park...beers were $6.50 for a 12 oz cup! Holy crap.. no s***?!?! That's insane. Everything in Florida was much less expensive. I haven't been to AZ in 2 years.. has it really gotten that bad...??? Is it like that everywhere? Anyone else..? Aboz..?
March 31, 200422 yr If I recall correctly the beer was $3 for a plastic bottle from a vendor and more expensive for the larger drafts from concession stands. Whew.. I thought I was losing my mind. I wonder why it's so expensive at the Oakland facility..
March 31, 200422 yr Author My brother just came back from AZ, saw the SOx play the As in Oakland's park...beers were $6.50 for a 12 oz cup! That ain't for a Miller Lite.

March 31, 200422 yr That ain't for a Miller Lite. Ahhhhh.. that's for one of those fancy beers, eh..?
March 31, 200422 yr Author Ahhhhh.. that's for one of those fancy beers, eh..? Ya , too rich for my blood for the kind of pounding done on a St. Patty's day game. I went with some Oakland fans, buddies from Oakland going to ASU, but we were just having fun. No rivalry.
March 31, 200422 yr Damn, Wright gives up a run right back. 1-1, after 1. For some reason Maggs was pulled out of the lineup at the last minute. possible trade? Mac Jurk and Harry said Maggs might be traded
March 31, 200422 yr Alright, I am kinda dreading driving from Tuscon to Phoenix, but I think it will be worth. I have never been to Bank One, and it looks pretty cool. If you're dreading the drive, it's not that bad. But maybe I was just sleeping the whole time or just used to driving a lot. Probably the latter since we woke up at 4:30 one morning and drove to the Grand Canyon from Scottsdale. That sucked.
April 1, 200422 yr It was $4.50 for a beer from the vendor in a plastic bottle and it was $5.50 for a 16 oz. Coors on draft. This was at TEP, and the prices were about the same over at Hi Corbett. Parking is $3. The best idea is to quaff a few in the parking lot, then go to Nimbus Brewing Co. for happy hour after the game. We've got it down pat!!

April 1, 200422 yr possible trade? Mac Jurk and Harry said Maggs might be traded There was a rumor in yesterday's Boston Herald about Maggs goin to Boston while Trot Nixon is out injured. The only otha team I could think would be interested in him would be the Dodgers.
April 1, 200422 yr There was a rumor in yesterday's Boston Herald about Maggs goin to Boston while Trot Nixon is out injured. The only otha team I could think would be interested in him would be the Dodgers. I don't see Boston having anything we would want. I don't even pay attention to anything that has to do with trades with the Dodgers. IT AIN'T HAPPENIN...
April 1, 200422 yr Holy crap.. no s***?!?! That's insane. Everything in Florida was much less expensive. I haven't been to AZ in 2 years.. has it really gotten that bad...??? Is it like that everywhere? Anyone else..? Aboz..? Things seemed to be pretty comparable to what you pay at the Cell to me. The only thing that was a lot cheaper was the parking. At TEP, it's 3 bucks, at Hi-Corbett Field the parking was free (I was shocked). Besides that, you've got your $6 margaritas and $4 cokes, pretty much on par with what you'd pay at a regular game. I didn't check the beer prices because I usually don't drink beer.
April 1, 200422 yr Well one thing Boston has that the Sox could use is Scott Williamson. We obviously need some bullpen help and he would be big time help. I would hate to see Mags go anywhere.
April 1, 200422 yr 4th and 5th worry me now. I hope Schoney and Wright get it together but I think they may be very huge holes. The pen worries me now with Koch struggling and Takatsu as well till most recently. Also with Wunsch having the "Dead arm".
