i think you had to be there to enjoy it, all of the people that are making complaits were people who were not there and read the transcript

I was there and didn't care much for it. I prefer a question and answer session, not unorganized choas in a chatroom. Just my opinion, but I happen to agree with MSF. If future chats are in the same format, I'll sit them out.

I didn't have a problem with anything Bull did........ I just think it would be better in a Q & A format like BA's chats......... Bull could take more time to answer questions more thoroughly if he wanted to, wouldn't miss any questions and his answers wouldn't be 5 questions behind. And we wouldn't have to put up with all of the stupid chatter.......

 

The point in something like this is to talk to the guest, not try and be cute and say smartassed things to each other. If somebody wants to hold a conversation, fine...... do it somewhere else.

Agree with you Rex, the BA format is excellent.

 

Great job by all who put this together, glad that Jim enjoyed doing the chat.

As I said on another thread, I like the 50-50 format idea which would afford both more thought out questions and answers but still give time for follow up questions and Dan Patrickesque type banter(esp. with friends and teammates).

 

Bull did a great job with the format as it was though, but I know it was hard for me to formulate questions(ie I had Honel questions but never asked) and still keep up with all the chatter so it had to be hard on him.

I don't want those that put this together to think my criticism is directed at them and that I am thankless. I am just giving open, honest feedback on how I think it can be made better.

 

The concept of doing this is great and those responsible for setting it up and executing it should be commended, as well as Bull for being a willing participant. He had no idea what he was getting into and I think he handled himself quite well.

Don't worry Rex, no offense taken. It actually helps. With that being our first chat, we had no idea what to expect. Now we know better for next time.

you should put advertisements in it...every five minutes type...Mcdonalds "I'm Lovin it"...you'd be reapin in the profits and this site would turn into some sort of idealistic heaven on earth where cubs fans would routinely be burned at the stake every hour on the fives...

Thanks Rex, I did not think my take was out of line, but I could have probably been a bit more delicate if I had known people would be taken aback by my comment.

 

It was just not a very 'professional' chat, and I guess that is what I was expecting, again not to step on any toes, just being honest.
