Honel leaves game w/ elbow injury

Featured Replies

Double-A Birmingham righthander Kris Honel lasted four innings in an 11-1 loss to West Tenn before leaving the game with unspecified pain in his elbow. He is expected to be examined by doctors today.

Honel, the White Sox top pitching prospect, struck out seven, but walked three and allowed three earned runs on two hits.

any update today on Honel?

sore elbows and pitchers are not a good combination

Haven't got an update yet, but I think sometime tonight It will be out.

That's not good :o

Hope it's not serious

I was originally told it was precautionary, but I think it could be worse. Its just a wait and see.

We need to put Rex on the job and see if he can find out something. I don't want Honel to even be slowed on his trek to the majors.

Well he's a White Sox pitching prospect. Something bad was bound to happen.

Is there any news yet on Honel?

Truer words may have never been spoken.

God this would really suck if he's hurt. I don't want another top prospect goin down with an injury. He was just about two years away as well.

Heard he will likely skip one start as a precaution. Nothing serious was found.

Thanks Rex. :cheers

*breaths one HUGE sigh of relief*

That's not official...... just what I heard. Anything is subject to change, so don't hang me if I am off on this one.... I don't think I am, but anything can happen.
