CSF
Wins on this homestand: Yankees (1) Devil Rays (2) Indians (1) Blue Jays (3) Losses: Yankees (2) Devil Rays (1) Indians (1) Blue Jays (1) All 3 games against NY were close, could've had a sweep against Cleveland if not for incosistent performance by Garland and the 'pen, & the Blue Jays loss was due to another crappy performance by Wright. All in all, a pretty good homestand. Now they gotta win these games on the road. Especially since they'll return to Chicago to face the hated Twinkies. Be Good
Not too shabby at all, as long as we keep winning series, that's all we need to do.
Texsox
They just need to keep winning series. It doesn't even pay to look around the Central to see what the other teams are doing. Just keep winning series.
BrandoFan
All in all, a pretty good homestand Excuse me? --Almost got SWEPT by the Yankees, winning the last game by 1 run. --Almost lost 2 of 3 to Tampa if not for late-inning heroics against Dan "2-0" Baez --By all rights should have been swept by the Tribe -- comebacks from 8-2 are rare. --Now won 3 games against the punching bag Blue Jays by a grand total of 3 runs. That's called living on the edge, and unless you think Sox have the monopoly on LUCK..... Now....2000 team would have gone 8-4 and I suppose 7-5 is pretty solid. But make no mistake about it, if you're dancing in the street because we survived a HOME stand, playing the listless Yankees and the scum of the AL.....there's no cure for homeritis acutus. Now let's go into Baltimore and take 2 out of 3 and build on the momentum from there. Thankfully, Wrong is not starting anymore.

I don't care if it's by blowout or by nail-biter. As long as they get the "W", fine by me.
YASNY
I disagree. 7-5 is not good enough. That's almost 1/7 of our entire home schedule and we were only 2 games above .500 That would be acceptable on the road, but not at home.
SoxAce
That's called living on the edge, and unless you think Sox have the monopoly on LUCK..... Hell, The Twins have been getting "Luck" these last 2 seasons. I will gladly take that luck to win ballgames.
YASNY
OEO Brando always has a postive attitude But, in this case, Brando is 100% correct. This homestand was very close to being disasterous.
BrandoFan
A win's a win. I don't care if it's by blowout or by nail-biter. As long as they get the "W", fine by me. That's called being oblivious to baseball reality. I'd rather have a 4 game split in NYY, knowing that if the series are replayed 10 times, we take 3 out of 4 more often than not......than to BARELY split a 2-game set against the awful Tribe AT HOME. The HOW matters very much. Do you think I was clairvoyant when I predicted a Wright collapse during Wright's 1st start of the season when he had no ER until facing Bubba Crosby? No, it was woefully obvious he had nothing and it was just a matter of time before he got pounded by ML hitters..... Of course 7-5 is better than 5-7 which is what Sox "deserved" to be. That goes without saying. Now they have to kick it up a notch. Simple as that.

Wise Master Buehrle
Taking 3 out of 4 from Toronto to finish it out strong is fine. I don't think this team is at full steam ahead mode yet.

SoxFan1
I'm satisfied with the 7-5 but I know we could have gone 8-4/9-3. A couple s***ty games vs the Yankee's cost us. And we should have swept the lowly Devil Rays. Lets go into Baltimore, play Ozzie-ball, and win the series.

greg775
7-5 is good enough this time of year. Winning 3 of 4 vs. Toronto is doing a nice job. We're not the Yankees or Boston, folks. We're a small market team trying to win the Central.

Chisoxrd5
Ahhh....Gotta love the optomistic attitude of White Sox fans!!! We find a way to fight about if our wins were good enough...The fact of the matter is a win is a win is a win.... Sure we would love to win every game by 5 runs but lets be honest here kids...15-9 and tied for first place....DID YOU HONESTLY EXPECT BETTER???? GO SOX!!!!!!!! BrandoFan
7-5 at home is not going to win us anything. Like I said, it's not 7-5 per se.....it's the MANNER in which it was achieved. Sox played Yankees in a sorry form and should have taken 2 out of 3....but failing that Sox should have definately taken 4 out of 5 against TB/Cle -- and instead they came [] close to LOSING 4 out of 5 -- Danny Baez, Broussard and some scrub reliver gave us a couple of gifts. Winning ugly my ass. I don't care that KC was winning like this in 03 and Minny in 04....We're supposed to be BETTER than them, remember? I have Sox winning 92 games this year, so taking 3 out of 4 at home against Toronto is par de course. Especially when the 3 wins are by a total of 3 runs and we make Cata-friggin-lo-friggin-nato look like Ted Williams.
