College Graduation

Featured Replies

So, as of this morning, I have officially joined the Alumni Association at Illinois State University with a B.S. in Mathematics. The last four years have certainly been unforgettable. And so, my college days are officially over, and I will be working hard to nail down a teaching job for next year.

I know that there are probably at least a few others here who are doing the same thing within the next few weeks, so congrats to all of you too and your hard work!

To those who have graduated, where did you go, what was your field of study, and when did you graduate? Those who are in college right now and have an idea on when they are graduating may answer too!

congrats

no way in hell i could ever achieve a math degree, that's some difficult s***.

good luck in the real world, i must say i have been putting off becoming a working sucker as long as possible. reality is catching up quickly!

I miss college, not so much the classes. I had a good time in Carbondale when I had no REAL worries.

I graduated 3 years ago and this post college stuff blows. Goodbye to sleeping in...you don't go to work on weekends, but you HAVE work.

I won't graduate from College until October 2006 at the earliest, but at least I've finished high school.

At least? Stay in college as long as you can get away with it.

Well, I'll be a high school math teacher, so I can choose to have my summers off...I'm not planning on it, however, as I'd rather teach summer school and funnel all of that money into an IRA or a high-interest savings account for a cozy savings for retirement...

congrats, heather. fellow redbird here: ISU, English, '01.

Congrats Heather!! A math teacher, that's awesome! Best of luck with the future!

I'm still in school, I'm at the George Washington University majoring in political science. I'll be done Fall 2005. Three more semesters, woo! :)

Good luck Heather. My wife is a teacher, and I know personally how difficult and how much work they do.
