May 28, 200421 yr No, he's not considered a rookie. He played 3 years in Colorado, and in 155 games in 2002. But he was still a steal. Give KW credit...for as much bad as KW has brought upon us, he's more than made up for it with Loaiza and Uribe. -y2

May 28, 200421 yr Nice, and to see in reading the thread that people were saying Buehrle wasn't looking so sharp. Not so bad for an iffy day. BTW, who has sole possession of 1st place now? Ah, that would be the Chicago White Sox!

May 28, 200421 yr Kind of interesting that Koch throws a scoreless 9th with a 9 run lead. I'm not sure where to go with that info, but it IS interesting to say the least.
May 28, 200421 yr That was one hell of a game tonight. Second straight shutout of the best offense in the American League. Outstanding job Sox!
May 28, 200421 yr Didn't get to see the game (work), awesome to come home to see this kind of news Sox will get a standing o from me tommorow at the game.

Ah, that would be the Chicago White Sox! That's the mark of a great pitcher. Getting the job done without your best stuff. Not saying Mark is great, yet. But he's got a real good chance to be.
May 28, 200421 yr After a series like this, it will be interesting to watch the progess of a young overachieving team like Texas, and see if this marks the start of the fall back to earth for them. For a team that had the best offense in baseball to get shutout in back to back nights, while having one of their best pitchers beat up, could crush a fragile physce. Stay tuned.
