Craig Wilson just hit a walkoff homer and the cubs got swept in their double header against the Pirates. Wow this has to be the best day ever, sox win, twins lose, cubs lose two, can't get much better then that. :headbang :headbang

Two walkoff losses in one day. Best night of baseball in a long time.

An unbelievable night of baseball. Sox in first by two games!!!

Sox win 1 , Cubs lose 2 besides head to head wins it is not much sweeter :fthecubs

Watching the replays, all I can say is wow. The Cubs blew that double header. Macowiak is a complete stud, with the walkoff GS and then the game tying 2-run homer in the second game. The Cubs also had the bases loaded with 0 outs in the top of the 9th in the second game and couldn't score any more. :fthecubs

:cheers

Wait, when did the Cubs get Carlos Lee?

The Cubs blew a bases loaded 0 outs situation in game one too.

I certainly can't wait to dig into these guys during the 2004 version of the Crosstown Classic...It's gonna be ugly for them. I don't care if Prior and Wood are back...Ozzie's got this team believing in themselves, and they are going to bring out the whipping sticks on the northside minor leaguers!!!

The TRUE Cubs are back... :headbang

Rob Mackowiak had the coolest day ever.

His son was born today.

He hits a walk-off grand slam in Game 1.

He hits a 9th inning, 2-run, game-tying home run in Game 2.

Pirates go on to win Game 2 as well.

I don't know how much better it can get for a guy than that!

Props to Rob M. and welcome little Garrett Metthew Mackowiak to the world!

WOW. The Cubs pulled a serious choke job. This kinda thing never happens to them. Wait a 2nd? They did blow a 3-1 lead in the nlcs to the, Marlins. But that was Bartman's fault :cheers

It's a really good day to be a sox fan.

The Cubs are 2.5 games behind first place. They are currently sharing third place with the St. Louis Cardinals.

They have Mitre who is 2-3 with a 5.82 ERA against the Pirates Fogg who is 2-4, with a 6.81 ERA.

Pretty good game today, but the way the Pirates were playing last night, they have a good chance of getting another win.

They are about to drop another one to the Pirates down 10-5 in the 7th inning. They are in freefall these days & I couldn't be happier.
