This is a thread to discuss Republican public virtues!

Not as bad as getting your cock sucked in the Oval Office, while you're married.

And both Democrats and Republicans are hypocrites. Deal with it.

Sexual "indiscretions" , or whether a candidate smoked pot while they were in college has nothing to do with whether or not an individual makes a good President, Senator, whatsoever!

The sooner we as Americans get this through our (Puritanical) heads, the better off we will be!

Exactly

When a candidate (or party) runs on moral purity and creates the idea that the opposition is a group of cultural hedonists, then it is most appropriate for items like Neil Bush getting herpes in Hong Kong in his orgy romps with prostitutes while married etc.

When the GOP demands that they want to "protect the sanctity of marriage", they should look no further than Rush Limbaugh or Newt Gingrich etc. etc. etc. ad nauseaum.

That was nicely put.

I don't think the republican voter cares about the morales of the politicians they elect, as long as the laws they pass are considered moral or christian or whatever you want to call it.

If I was married to Gerri Ryan, I would want people to see me having sex with her too

so a republican secretly devoid of values and pandering to the christian vote is worse than a Democrat booster pretending to be a Christian minister that secretly seeks to remove any power from the message of the Cross by undermining clearly stated moral guidelines in the Bible?

ok, just checking.

...just saying ;)

What the hell is the point of this thread?

thank you

someone asked the point of the thread?

On the same day the Senate Republicans push a bill in the Senate to get touch on dirty words on the radio and Janet Jackson dancing at the Super Bowl --

the vice president of the US, who is under the constitution the president of the senate, is saying f*** you to a US Senatior, Patrick Leahy of Vermont, and of course this is the same Cheney who ran with Bush to supposedly bring civility to the political process - and as researched, that has never been said by a vice president to a senator on the Senate floor in US history so it is a new low - been said off the floor, but civility and decorum seem to be lacking in the administration that pledged itself to that

based on what the Senate passed, a radio or tv station could be fined severly for quoting accurately the vice president of the US

on the same day the Republican nominee for the US Senate in Illinois is dealing with his sex cluib scandalsand ain't that a tad hypocritical for someone who has run as a moral beacon in a party that is open to that charge of hypocrasy as Apu has pointed out -

all the "moral denuniciations" on this board only seem to go one way and it gets tiring and tiresome

and I posted to green to use satire, not to attack, a distinction lost on some

Much ado about one candidate in one race. Every party has members who would switch parties in a heartbeat if they thought it would give them an edge in getting elected. Maybe this guy could run as a Democrat?

Guess
