June 28, 200421 yr Mariotti said it's curently a sox town! he changes his mind all the time. he said cubs are bad. Everybody except cowlishaw loved the move. did anybody see that?
June 28, 200421 yr Yeah, Cowlishaw who I believe said the Twins would win it all... He said Garcia will get hit hard in our park...

June 28, 200421 yr WE GOT MENTIONED!!! AGAIN!!! WE MUST BE IN HEAVEN!!! Na, heaven is when the Sox win the WS. This is just a feel good. lol
June 28, 200421 yr Yeah, Cowlishaw who I believe said the Twins would win it all... He said Garcia will get hit hard in our park... If Garcia is able to post a sub-4 ERA in our park I will be happy. In our park. He'll have to do better on the road, but if he can stay under 4 in our park, I'll be happy.
June 28, 200421 yr ELo suceeded last year because he did what it took to suceed at the Cell: Not give up the long ball. I think Garcia's been pretty good at that in the past, so I think he can suceed here.
June 28, 200421 yr Finally we are getting recognition. I hope Freddy works out well for us, i would also be happy with a sub 4 ERA as well
June 28, 200421 yr somebody save the tape of Hyster-iotti. He'll be scratching Dusty's back any minute now.
June 28, 200421 yr I decided to watch the show today and was suprised to see the Sox being the "first word". Mariotti's response also stunned me as he said Chicago is a Sox town right now. We even were mentioned before the Yankees!
June 28, 200421 yr Mariotti is right on the button. Anyone who thinks this town is NOT a Sox town right now is not thinking.
June 28, 200421 yr When the Sox start filling the park every night, then it will be a Sox town. After Friday, everybody was in panic mode. Two wins don't change Chicago into a Sox town -- especially if the Sox don't win two more games in Wrigley next weekend. It's going to take a lot of hard work by Reinsdorf, Williams and others to turn Chicago back into a Sox town, which it was 20 years ago.
June 29, 200421 yr Jackass Jay is a windsock, and he flip-flops at the drop of a hat. If the Sox lose 2 of 3 to the Twinkies, he will say how they blew their chances, the trade for Garcia means nothing anymore, the Twins have ALWAYS been superior, Garcia shouldn't re-sign here, etc etc etc. I couldn't care less if those dopes on ATH ever mentioned the White Sox. Who f***in' needs 'em?

Two wins over the beloved Chicago Cubs and a trade for the best pitcher available creates a lot of excitement and changes it into a Sox town. Turn on the radio or read the paper. All you will hear and read are people wanting to talk Sox baseball. Everyone has lost their interest in the Cubbies. They are 5 out and the bandwagon jumpers see a winner in this town. They are jumping over to the Southside and they are jumping off the Cubbie ship. If you don't recognize this then I don't know what to tell you. It may not change it long term, but for right now, this town is a Sox town!

It's good that there is a lot of talk about and excitement for the White Sox, but for the near future, it is still a Cub's town. A World Series win and nice parade might change that, though.

We aren't there yet but we're well on our way to getting back to our rightful place as kings of Chicago baseball.
