baggio202
it's tme we find this guy more PT....maybe some games in CF...he's represent something we really need..lefty power...can he play a good enough CF to play it part -time???
qwerty
I would be nervous as hell with him in center. And once ordonez is back he will be just be a reserve nothing more nothing less.
witesoxfan
Baggs, we have lefty power. Valentin leads all SS's with homers in 17, and all of them have come from the left side of the plate. I like Gload...but he should be nothing more then a 1B/LF/RF type player. He has very little range in the outfield, and not a very strong arm. The Critic
umm..nevermind on gload playing cf Why? If he was playing CF he never would've dropped that ball!
OfficerKarkovice
Gload is the new version of Tony Graffanino...he's great as a reserve fill-in type, but if he would play everyday you would realize he's not a starter.
Gene Honda Civic
Gload's a great hitter, on a team full of great hitters. In his last two games he's proven why it's hard to get him in the line-up... He's a liability defensively in the outfield. It would be great to have him in the line-up everyday, but that would mean having to sit one of the Konerko/Thomas tandem, and with both of them playing like they are, Ross will rightfully only play about 1 game per week. But that one game per week is much better than spending the whole season in the minors to him i bet.
Gene Honda Civic
But that one game per week is much better than spending the whole season in the minors to him i bet. Definitely... Plus, as a probably playoff team, his bat will be invaluable coming of the bench in late game situations.
baggio202
But that one game per week is much better than spending the whole season in the minors to him i bet. we should give him his props though...20rbi in 94 at bats from a bench player is about as clutch as it gets...it means he has stayed pretty consistant all year long despite very limited playing time...remember last year how much brian daubach struggled trying to adjust to playing part time??...its not an easy job
CWSOX45
I like him, but Gload scares the s*** outta me in the outfield. Everytime the ball is hit to him I want to cover my eyes.... CWSOX45

CWSOX45 his natural position is first base and he is suppose to be a very good defensive 1st baseman...i dont know why ozzie doesnt use him in late innings of close games when we have the lead...he has much more range than konehead
greg775
For some reason I don't like Gload, but those are a lotta RBIs. What is our record with Gload in the lineup? It seems we lose most of the time, but that may just be my incorrect perception.
SoxAce
I like Gload because he's a true "grinder." Goes all out for anything and everything. But he's a utility man. Nothing more, nothing less.
YASNY
I like Gload because he's a true "grinder." Goes all out for anything and everything. But he's a utility man. Nothing more, nothing less. Exactly. He's good to have on the bench, but I don't want him in the regular starting line-up.

CF? The guy is an awful RFer for heaven sakes. He belongs at 1B, plain and simple. Get him out of the outfield, please.

CWSOX45 Burke is a better option in the outfield...fieldingwise, IMO.
