FutureSox Panel of Experts

Featured Replies

WiteSoxfan has came up with a great new idea for WSC/FutureSox. It is a panel of experts. Basically a few of us FutureSox writers will sit down and individually answer questions on a weekly or biweekly basis.

It will be a way for a person to get generic quetsions answered, such as, who is the best minor leaguer in the organization, what do you think of such and such. Then each expert will give their own take. Its kind of a way to get a few peoples opinions at once.

Hopefully it turns out good. I'm going ot put this up before I leave on the trip and the first one will be done when we get back. So post your questions in the thread or email them to us at contact@futuresox.com

Excellent idea there by witesoxfan. I'm sure a lot of questions will be asked and it should be a really good segment. :)

I thought so too. Let's the casual baseball fan who wants to know more about the minors but doesn't know a lot about them learn a little more. And it ties FutureSox and White Sox Central a little closer together.

Awesome idea. :headbang

This will definitely be interesting, and it will help me learn at least a little bit about the minor league system. I only know so much, and I know we have some informed people on the subject. Good stuff as always. :cheers

Exactly the reason I thought of it.

So how do we want to do this? Do we just want to get our panel of experts and then have 10-20 questions that are asked weekly by everyone on here or what/

I suppose, we'll definitely pin a topic on top for questions every1 here at SoxTalk can ask I guess, and also have links on WhiteSoxCentral and FutureSox.

Who do you consider an expert besides yourself that writes for FS, just wondering.

I think it would be cool if we had some different experts answering questions every week, I think it would get a bit boring if the same ppl were answering the questions every week, bring some variety into it. We hav some really great posetrs on here who know their stuff like Rex, Wite, YASNY and Dasox, so finding enough ppl to do it certainly won't be a problem if they're willing to do it. But I'm sure Jason, Dan, Alex and Wite will probably sort of all that out. :)

We could also use our access to players to get some answers.

I was thinking of a mix between what DBAHo and 2k said. I want to kind of change it up every week or two weeks depending on how its done and of course depending on the turnout.

There is about to be a section on WSC to submit a question.

This is a spectacular idea. We could even ask managers of Sox affiliates some questions that they know they can answer.

I'm calling shotty on being the Woody Paige of the "experts". I nominate Jason for Jay "Kotex Boy" Marrioti's position. ;)

I guess I would be Tony Reali because I really have no qualifications, but sound like I know what I'm talking about.

One thing is being an Expert and one thing is Opinion ;)

There is a forum on WhiteSoxCentral.com. It was put up today and hasn't been tested, so I can't guarantee your question will get through. However, the forum is there.

I'm also assuming that won't be the only place people will be able to submit questions.
