July 25, 200421 yr let's just win this first game and go from there...we definetly need to win two of three...but let's go one game at a time. Buerhle needs to be on his game again and shut the Twins down. The Sox need to play baseball and not long ball...it seems they get into a habit of trying to hit homers when they are down, but when they are ahead they tend to play real baseball getting hits in all parts of the field. They also seem to make mistakes on the field, and on the basebaths when they get down by a few runs. Gotta jump on the Twins early and often.

July 25, 200421 yr All I know is that this series will be won or lost one one choice. If AROW is at the top of the order and Jose and Timo are at the bottom of the order then we will win. If AROW is stuck in the 7 hole and we are forced to see Jose's .240ish average in the 2 hole and Gload or Borchard in RF then I don't like our chances. Our fate will be determined when Ozzie makes the lineup. I just pray he makes the right choice. GO SOX!

July 25, 200421 yr those three better not give it up to the middle relief guys cause they arent impressive. Mark Fred and Esty better pitch a minimum of 6 innings each, but i'd like to see 7 to 9 innings.
July 25, 200421 yr I don't like having to face Santana. We can handle Silva and I think we can handle Radke. But it's the middle game that scares me. Santana has been unhittable lately.
July 26, 200421 yr Jeckle, That was kind of a nutso post by you. Uncharacteristic. That ain't gonna determine the outcome solely. Our team has lots of issues w/out Maggs and Hurt. Pitching and defense I think are gonna be the keys with our lineup moderately anemic cause of injuries.

I think we can win tomorrow and IMO Tuesday is the big test. This is the reason why we got Garcia, to win big games. That will be my focus of the series, the big matchup between to of the best pitchers in the AL.

I got MLBtv for a month so I could watch the games but I wanna be at the Minny series so bad. That sucks that you threw out your shoulder.
