August 1, 200421 yr Who's gonna get the call in September to Chitown? And who will make a lasting impact for 2005? (And no, I'm not throwing in the towel).
August 1, 200421 yr Wilson Valdez will I'm farily sure, hitting over .300 for the Knights but hardly walks. Bryant Nelson probably deserves a call - up too he's had a excellent season for the Knights too. Ruddy Yan possibly, he has great speed could be used as a pinch runner.
August 1, 200421 yr yay, my ruddy yan idea is a popular one it seems! Ruddy Yan would be sick on the basepaths...
August 1, 200421 yr yay, my ruddy yan idea is a popular one it seems! Ruddy Yan would be sick on the basepaths... I believe he's already on the 40 man roster as well just for that reason.
August 1, 200421 yr if he could only hit... damn, i remember last year when he was leading the high A league in hits and had like a .360 avg and already like 44 steals, then he went in a slump...if he could ever hit he'd be a fun player...
August 1, 200421 yr Author Any pitchers? I would assume we will still be in it then... so they might not get much of a chance?
August 1, 200421 yr If the Sox are still in the race, you will see very few callups....... if any. Most likely you will see an extra arm in the pen, and an extra IFer such as Dransfeldt. Other than that, not much at all.
August 1, 200421 yr yay, my ruddy yan idea is a popular one it seems! Ruddy Yan would be sick on the basepaths... Ruddy Yan can't get on base, and when he does, even AA catchers gun him down. Mike Spidale is slumping, but he is still a better, more talented player IMO.
August 1, 200421 yr I'd like to see Diaz up. Any chance on Baj, or is it too soon? i will rather have baj instead of some of the pitcher we have now in the majors.
August 1, 200421 yr I'd like to see Diaz up. Any chance on Baj, or is it too soon? If we are in it, we won't see Baj, unless he is just lights out. I think we have learned a lesson about rushing pitchers this year though... I gotta imagine we would see Diaz, Wunsch, and Sanders before we see Jeff.
August 2, 200421 yr I'm thinking Jose Santiago and Courtney Duncan are possibilities. Duncan is hurt....... has not pitched since July 10 and only once since June 22. Santiago is iffy, at best for a callup. I wouldn't expect many callups at all, unless the Sox completely drop out of the race.
August 2, 200421 yr Duncan is hurt....... has not pitched since July 10 and only once since June 22. I did not know that, thanks for the update rex.
August 2, 200421 yr I don't want to see ANY Sept call-ups. That means we're hopelessly out of the race. I'd rather wait till spring training to look at these guys.

If you bring up a few players that does not mean you we are out of the race at all. Someone for pinch running and hitting, also could always use another bullpen arm.
August 2, 200421 yr We should bring up Hankins so we can have 392 catchers. haha that i think is the funniest thing i have heard all day. lol!
August 3, 200421 yr I'd go with Valdez as an extra infielder and I would also call up Yan strictly as a pinch runner late in games. Diaz will probably get called up as will Wunsch. Potentially Torres or Taylor as an extra OF just in case, but i doubt we see many others
August 3, 200421 yr SSSSSSOOOOOOUUUUUUUPPPPPPEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRR SSSSSSOOOOOONNNNNNNIIIIIIIICCCCCCSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Sup, brotha.
