August 30, 200421 yr Dotel does blow. I wouldn't want him as a closer. Neither would I and I'm sure qwerty wouldn't either. We're both trying to say he's one hell of a setup man, but I agree he's not a good closer at all.

August 30, 200421 yr He is a closer.. a mediocre one at that. 35 IP, 7 HRs given up, 4 blown saves, and an ERA of 4.54. That is not his natural role, he is being forced to do something he is not capable of.

August 30, 200421 yr Garcia/Zito/Contreras/Buehrle/Garland (or FA)= sick.. Perfect balence of power pitchers (Garcia, Contreras) Finesse (Zito, Buehrle) and a sinker baller in Garland or another FA.

Zito is definitely more proven, I understand how people would want zito more, but Pavano has been the guy I've wanted for a while, everytime I watch the guy pitch he impresses me more and more, I just think Pavano is an absolute stud, but you can't go wrong either way.
