2004 College Football Trash Talk Thread

It's a good offense...if you have the pieces and disciplined players. That's impressive that your high school can pull that off. Of course in theory it would work better against high school defenses because they have probably never seen it before.

We had the #8 receiver in the state....first in Class 3A as a Soph last year and the number 9 passer , #2 in 3A who is now a senior and a buddy of mine.

I hope Illinois goes 6-5

Utah is so overrated.

Utah looking damn good and pounding A&M as we speak...

I wouldnt say they are overrated

Mike Tirico makes it impossible to watch a game. His f***in squeak-fest is so annoying.

Can we stop all the stuff about how NU could surprise the Big Ten this year?

You ain't going nowhere in that conference without a defense.

First off, the Big Ten is kind of weak this year, so you never know. Second, TCU has a very good offense, it's not like the little sisters of the poor put up 48 on them. Second, they managed to win the Big Ten in 2000 with a weak defense, they just outscored everyone, much like Michigan did that year to share the title. It looks like they could be doing that again, with what looks like could be some interesting shootouts against Minnesota and Purdue. Lastly, you're drawing conclusions from one game against a team that to the best of my knowledge no other Big Ten team plays, while no other Big Ten team has played yet.

As for the kicker thing, that really disheartened me. That will be the last thing I say about it.

All I have to say is this

Don't forget who won the tiebreaker and went to the Rose Bowl that year ;)

...had to throw that in there

Yeah, but it was still a split. When you have to decide between 3 8-3 teams, s*** happens.

All I have to say is this

I will not argue with that in any way shape or form. They should dominate the Big Ten.

Have fun stopping that offense.....

Oh wait, was an Illinois fan trash talking in football? I think all the Illinois fans should be banned from trashing until their team can actually win a game against a I-A opponent. I mean puh lease. Who are you kidding?

Love the sig man! I'm gonna have fun this year. I'm a big NU fan(would be there if not for the acceptance committee) who happens to be going to school at Illinois. I plan on giving people crap all season(at least until basketball starts).

AHHHH, its nice to have college football all day.....first off: Mich. losing to Miami (OH) on ABC!!!! :headbang :headbang :headbang

Good luck

IU vs. Central Michigan today in B-Town @ 6 PM! :headbang

I don't understand why this game isn't on national TV!

CRIMSON CREW!!

:headbang :bringit

Iowa State is beating #6 Northern Ioiwa (I-AA) 17-0 at halftime. ISU actually sounds like they'd be fun to watch today.

Why is Michigan St. Rutgers on national tv? Yuck, what a bad game of 2 bad teams.

ISU shut out Northern Iowa 23-0 in a game that UNI was favored by 4.5 in. Clones held them under 100 yards in total offense. Iowa State might do ok this year. I'm encouraged. Two friends of mine also played today, so that was cool too.

Dont worry, ISU will still lose to NIU

:bringit

I know all the Chicagoans don't give a crap, but I gotta represent for the Arizona Wildcats. Onward with the Stoops era! The first game's in about 4 and a half hours, and I'll be there front and center.

Bullllls***.

I gotta represent for ISU. They sounded pretty good on O today and awesome on D.

against a AA team.....

Well here's the way I'm connecting the dots. ISU should've pulled out a win in DeKalb last year. ISU beat UNI 17-10 last year. UNI is a better team than last year and we beat them by 23. The NIU-ISU game is in Ames....

LSU is losing 9-0 against Oregon St. at halftime. LSU has the worst QB I've seen from a top 5 team in a while....he sucks!

Also Michigan St. lost at Rutgers! :lolhitting
