Agreed -- He may give us a few more wins in the 5th spot this season, but at this point I'd rather see Diaz go every 5th, because @ 23 he still has a lot to learn as a pitcher, and a better chance to be a contributer to this team next season.
September 2, 200421 yr Grilli's future is in the bullpen anywayz (If he ever finds command) But he's more of a AAA pitcher in his career. IMO, Diaz's future is in the bullpen too.

September 2, 200421 yr He kept us in the game. That's acceptable. Barely. He can help us get through the rest of the season, but I don't want to depend on Grilli as 5th starter next year and the Sox end up going through this nightmare for third consecutive season.
