Bears sign Jenkins; Waive Joe

I'm a little surprised that we'd waive Joe after so little time with us and he was a 4th round pick. I had high hopes for this guy. Great physical specimen.

Bears Waive Joe

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Bears on Wednesday claimed linebacker Corey Jenkins off waivers from the Miami Dolphins and waived rookie linebacker Leon Joe, a fourth-round pick from Maryland.

Jenkins was inactive for Miami's season-opening loss to Tennessee last Saturday. The 2003 sixth-round pick played in all 16 games with the Dolphins last season, making two tackles on defense and three on special teams.

Joe made his NFL debut on Sunday at Soldier Field, playing on special teams against Detroit.

Let me list my favorite memories from the Leon Joe Era...

...Yep that's all of 'em.

Worthless move.

I can count Jenkins career tackles on one hand.

Which is still infinately higher than what Joe did

Very true...

Jenkins is good guys... but he was burried in Miamis depth

They didnt wanna release him but they had to add a CB from the practice squad and the reason he was cut was due to age (28)

He is a pretty solid player, I think youll be happy with him..

...and yet the Bears still continue to suck...
