Brought to tears by Sports?

Featured Replies

I'm a trainer on the HS football team. Tonite we played the #4 team in the state and lost 28-23 in a game we shouldn't have lost. We were picked second to last in our district and just let the game slip. After the game, everyone had tears in their eyes.

Anything like this happen to you guys?

Nah, I played at an elementry school for 3 years in basketball, we went 1-40 and the game we won was when 4 out of the 5 starters for a team had strepth throat. So after those expirences, I dont worry about em.

Wow that is terrible. No way i could keep on playing if the team sucked that bad.

I was always bothered by the high school kids that would cry or punch lockers or slam stuff around after they lost or struck out and whatnot. Lose the image kid, we all know you don't care that much.

This is just coming from experience. I knew none of my teammates cared enough to cry or slam their things around...but when they did, all I could think about was what kind of phony's they were.

High school sports have some fun moments, but when I look back at it, a lot of those kids were jackasses about it.

I don't think its an image to maintain around here. They all waited til they got inside to do it.

I'm gonna go. Gotta officiate a VBall tourney tomorrow.

Nite.

I'd prolly cry if the White Sox won the World Series. Can't think of anything else that would really bring me close.

Well, I'm a girl, so we're supposed to cry more, and well in 8th grade I was part of a bball team that never won a game and ended up losing one game with a score of 4-54. There was no crying from any the girls that year...More like laughter...Of course it didn't help that there were like 9 girls on the team...

I play for my high school football team that lost to a team that hasnt won a football game in FOUR years! Not to brag but we made Sports Illustrated for it!!!of course we have lost 14 in a row tomorrow we will try not to make it 15.

I cried when the 2000 Sox got swept on that f***ing bunt play. I was young and I really thought that team would do it. I just wanted to see the Sox win a playoff game and bask in the media coverage of it. I didn't even get that. :crying

Cheating bastards.

I hate the Mariners for that.

When KU lost to Cuse in the finals of the tourney, i cried my eyes out for days and days, still cringe when I see any highlights.

i've never cryed(but) my jr. year when my team went to the state smeis and lost to the #14 ranked team in the nation and 5 of there players are on D1 schools(that i know of) and we lost by 5 points in the finial 2 minutes :(

Tonight I watched my favorite Aussie Rules Footy team (They're called Geelong, pretty much the Tampa Bay Devil Rays of MLB) lose to (Brisbane, the New York Yankees of MLB) by 9 points in a preliminary final for the right to play in the grand final. I was pretty choked up afterwards, and I'm taking it pretty hard personally at the moment.

DBAHO...do you know of anywhere (websites?) wherein I could buy Aussie Rules football jerseys?

Please let me know.

I didn't cry but I remember I had a football in my hand and I just chucked it when it happened cause I was so pissed and I almost beheaded a good friend of mine.
