I did an 6th grade science project on the reforestation of Mt St Helens 5 years after the initial explosion. Won best at show for it :headbang  I have no idea why, but natural disasters have always been a facination of mine.

That's easy. That's because you are a natural disaster.

Not bad, under a minute

As I said, that's too easy.

Yikes... poor, poor Angie..

I wonder if there's an ignorant old man residing at the bottom of the mountain who refuses to move. You wouldn't anticipate any real estate in close proximity with the moutain, but natural disasters haven't detered people from building houses in California (earthquake/mudslide) or Florida (hurricanes) before.

I totally agree Steff. I hope and pray no-one gets hurt, but when mother nature blows it's lid, it's a beautiful thing.

I have no idea why, but natural disasters have always been a facination of mine.

Ditto. I also like the man-made kind (shipwrecks and such). Which reminds me that I have to dig out a couple of my Edmund Fitzgerald books soon.

Current breaking news headline on MSNBC

"Cloud of white steam seen rising from Mt. St. Helens in Wash. State"

I hope people in the vicinity (sp?) have evacuated, she's about to flip her lid.

Looks like it was just a little burp. Or at least that is how the yahoo story portrayed it.
