October 2, 200421 yr Rowands been slumping lately. He's 4 for his last 25, and i want to see him finish on a high note. Does a good manager sit him for the rest of the year or let him play it out the last couple?

October 2, 200421 yr Rowand has had few at-bats in the past. Why bench him now even if it's just 2 games. Let him get his at-bats and go from there next year.
October 2, 200421 yr It is also the first time that Aaron has been the starter for an entire 162 game season. It isn't that big of a deal.
October 2, 200421 yr He has already fallen below .310 and it is doubtful he could fall below .300 so play him. If he gets 2 or 3 hits tonight and goes back abvoe .310, I would consider sitting him tomrrow.
October 2, 200421 yr Lead-off HR for the Sox tonight. He should have been benched today though. :rolly
October 2, 200421 yr I didn't realize he has 24 home runs. Just think if he was in everyday starter this whole year. He would have had a great shot at 30.

October 3, 200421 yr Rowand back up to .310. I'd give him the day off tomorrow. But that is just me. Then I'd have to watch Timo Perez.
October 3, 200421 yr Then I'd have to watch Timo Perez. You'll have the whole offseason to get over it.
October 3, 200421 yr I'd play him. Let him take his shot at getting back into the top ten in batting average.
October 3, 200421 yr I'd play him. Let him take his shot at getting back into the top ten in batting average. I have no problem with that. I didn't realize he was still that close.
October 3, 200421 yr I have no problem with that. I didn't realize he was still that close. I'm not one that believes in backing into it. Put him out there, let him take his shot and make it happen. He's close and with a little luck he can get there. Either way though, he's really had a very nice year. Good to see it too. He's worked his ass off and had some unlucky breaks along the way.
October 3, 200421 yr why would you sit him for the rest of the year? We got like what, 2 games Maybe he thinks we're goin to the playoffs?

I totally spaced on the top 10 possibility. If that were not the case, then I would sit him, because I think that when one looks back, there is a perceptual difference between .310 and .308. Obviously the perceived difference would be much greater between .298 and .300, but you get the point. But since there is something to shoot for Sunday, then by all means, write his name in the lineup and let's watch him go 3-4.
