We trade lee and lose maggs-21 million. Reinsdorf kicks payroll up 10 million.

31 million

Varitek-SIGNED-9 Million

Orlando Cabrera-SIGNED-7 million

Carlos Beltran-SIGNED-15 million

Will this happen- slim chance, could it happen- yes it is pretty realistic

There are numerous raises and new additions to the payroll that must be taken into consideration.

Garcia - $8 million

Thomas - Raise of $2 million

Takatsu - Raise of $1,750,000

Contreras - $8 million

Garland - Raise of about $500,000 - $1,000,000

Rowand - Likely to be signed to new deal. Increase of about $3,000,000 to $5,000,000.

Marte - Raise of $750,000.

While that lineup would be very good, it simple isn't realistic financially. The linup alone cost about 55M. Assuming that the Sox sign no pitchers(which is something they need to do) the payroll would still be 88M, which is unrealistic.

I would guess you are a little high on Aaron as his is not arb-eligible yet. Also we get $2 million next year for Contreras from the Yankees.

Rowand is arbitration eligible as is eric byrnes. I have heard that they should both get about the same 1.5-3 million.
