October 28, 200421 yr My only question is: if the Red Sox win it tonight how much of Boston will be burned/looted/etc. by tomorrow? The entire city.
October 28, 200421 yr What? They had the former lead singer of Creed sing 'God Bless America'. He sounded exactly like Trey Parker does when singing those silly South Park songs.
October 28, 200421 yr Who's the MVP? Manny, Cabrera, Mueller, Ortiz, Pedro, Schilling, Lowe, Foulke? I don't know, this series was so fast, so one-sided, noone really stood out. (Noone had to.) Larry Walker may have been the best player. Do you go w/ a starter, even though they each only appeared in one game? The Red Sox starters have been the real story, but it's hard to pick (Schilling may have been 'most courageous', but I don't think he was actually more valuable than Pedro). I'll go w/ Manny, but my mind could change in the next minute or two. Any one of Manny, Cabrera, Pedro, or Foulke could be the guy.

October 28, 200421 yr One thing I have to say -- good for the Red Sox, yeah. But as someone with only weak affinities for either team, this series sucked to watch. This is just about as unexciting as baseball can get. Don't get me wrong, I love to watch good pitching, as long as it's happening on both sides. But St Louis finally proved all their critics right.
October 28, 200421 yr Friends of ours that are getting married on Saturday were at the game tonight - big Card fans. I really feel for them. He's probably drowning his sorrow in a mug of suds right now.
October 28, 200421 yr Wow... LaRussa totally choked up at the press conference... Congrats to Boston, but damn -- not the way you wanna go out after such a great season. St. Louis will be back next year, I guarantee it.
October 28, 200421 yr the red sox just won the world series think about that for awhile Makes me want to weep. But even though i hate them so f***ing much you have to give props to them.
