qwerty
Remember Dye is being put out there by a reporter who is zero for every possible scenario. I don't see Dye as being on the Sox needs list. I would much rather go with one of our own and that includes Borchard in th mix. We need a reliever (middle or closer) and another starter. Borchard? Why? :puke Dye would be very good here and would be a steal for 5 million or somewhere in that neighborhood.
MurcieOne
I personally have always loved Jermaine Dye.... from his days with the braves in the 96 world series.... so i'd like him in the OF... but I do have to agree with the fact that he's a risk for injury and his mid 330 OBP is nothing to write home about. JoshPR
Don't think Percival or Vizquel are big losses, Especially Percival
GoodAsGould
i think dye could thrive here... and if he doesnt come too expensive id rather sign him and get a big pitcher like odalis perez or make a trade for kendall rather then sign a RP... I think munoz and diaz can both be studs out of the pen and i really hope diaz at least makes the team because he has nothing else to prove in the minors. AngelasDaddy0427
I just can't imagine Borchard doing anything that would even resemble a decent year. I think Kendall should be a top priorty for us (he is definately at the top of my wish list). However if we have to give up Garland for him we better be ready to replace him in the rotation. A rotation of Buherle, Garcia, Contreras, Diaz, Grilli going into the season next year would not be good news for Sox fans...
MurcieOne
I think the top of the wishlist has to start with pitching.... I mean we were pretty bad last year with our staff.... and the pen wasn't all the good either.
witesoxfan
A bonafide ace has to be the #1 priority, though offensively, Kendall is the #1 priority.
southsider2k5
I think the top of the wishlist has to start with pitching.... I mean we were pretty bad last year with our staff.... and the pen wasn't all the good either. And that is exactly the stated goal of every face of this organization so far. Don't be surprised at all if our starting RF is Carl Everett.
The Critic
Jason, totally unrelated, but you should see Grilli's wife. Very nice person, and WOW good looking. Maybe if his wife had a website, he'd be more in demand, like Kris Benson...
YASNY
Maybe if his wife had a website, he'd be more in demand, like Kris Benson... Or Bagwell's ex-wife.
