Wow, Northern Iowa was supposed to be better this year. They ruined SIU's prefect MVC record last year.

 

Northern Iowa is 9-3 with their only losses to Cincinnati (by 6 on the road), to Iowa (by 3 on the road) and to Evansville (by 19 on the road). Granted, their schedule hasn't been too tough beyond that, but they did beat Iowa St. (at home)by 17.

 

Evansville is tough at home again (see wins over Western Kentucky and Creighton) so I wouldn't write off NIU yet. The Valley is very strong this year.
