November 26, 200421 yr The store space is free cause the stores are all built and owned by the government. I guess the store has to kick in to help pay for power and the such but that isin't all that great an expense I would think. You mentioned military pay though, Military pay has shot up by a lot in the last 4 years. If I remember right we got a 7.5% pay hike in 2001, and like 4-5% a year since, save for the 2005 hike which is only 3.5% #$%&@#^@#$^!. One thing Id REALLY like to see is to have military pay exempted from Federal taxes. I dont pay any state tax from Illinois even though technically I'm still a resident because of such an exemption. Hence my point of government subsidizing the store prices. Wal-Mart, the civilian PX There are a lot of positions in our society that do not earn what they are worth. Military and inner city teachers who make a difference come to mind.

November 27, 200421 yr Just came back from the mall. It was absolutely madness. I must have stepped on at least a dozen people. My dad and I waited outside Best Buy for an hour just to get in even though the store was open! We were freezing our asse’s off but this day comes only once a year, plus you save money. I mean... who doesn’t like to save $$$$? You know how else to save money?? Don't spend it.
