December 22, 200421 yr Alex Gonzalez - SS - SD The Devil Rays have some interest in signing Alex Gonzalez to play third base. What an absolutely horrible idea. Dec. 22 - 1:57 pm et Awesome...
December 22, 200421 yr They once said ewww... and just ewww... about a player that some team was interested in. Anyone else remember see that?

December 22, 200421 yr When Royce Clayton signed with Arizona, they said something to the effect of: "Clayton will assume to make outs in the 8th spot in Arizona's lineup."
December 22, 200421 yr They once said ewww... and just ewww... about a player that some team was interested in. Anyone else remember see that? Tony Clark - 1B - NYY According to the Toronto Sun, the Jays will look at Tony Clark as a potential replacement for Carlos Delgado. Ewww.
December 22, 200421 yr Some of my other favorites: Phillies re-signed LHP Rheal Cormier to a two-year, $5.25 million contract with a $3 million option for 2007. Philadelphia GM Ed Wade just can't help overspending for relievers. This should put him on Steve Kline's Christmas list. Cormier (3.56 ERA in 81 IP) remained solid last season, but he turns 38 in April and could collapse at any time. We doubt anyone else would have given him a multiyear deal worth this much. Jose Contreras put 11 men on base tonight but still held the Tigers to three runs -- two earned -- over 5 2/3 innings. Neal Cotts blew the lead in the seventh on a three-run homer by Eric Munson. Contreras walked four, allowed seven hits, gave up two long-balls, and struck out seven. In other words, he's the most frustrating pitcher in the American League.
December 22, 200421 yr If i had millions of dollars i know i would care less. yeah its like up yours i still make millions of dollars more than you
December 22, 200421 yr Those fellas just don't care, and it's great that they don't. Not only do they come up with hillarious descriptions, but they have the fastest rumor updates anywhere.
December 22, 200421 yr White Sox signed RHP Orlando Hernandez, who had been with the Yankees, to a two-year, $8 million contract. Well, maybe it's worth $8 million just to guarantee that Jason Grilli won't be a part of the White Sox rotation? This is too much money for a 39-year-old who has made 15 starts over the last two seasons. Hernandez will be helpful if healthy, but we'd be surprised if he averages 25 starts over the next two years. Dec. 22 - 6:20
