December 27, 200421 yr glad they're green, those blue ones always chapped my ass. (or was that the stuff going on in the field?) I'm thinking it was the on-field play. But those blue seats just really didn't fit.
December 27, 200421 yr Im sick of this topic. Ive seen it 3 times in the 6days ive been a member. It is kinda annoying. I don't know why people are living in the past. The blue seats look just fine. Also, the color of the seats should not matter at all since people are just sitting in them.

December 27, 200421 yr The seats needed to be changed for the purposes of general maintenance, anyway. Most Sox fans preferred green. I don't why changing the seats is a problem.
December 27, 200421 yr i wish there were always so many fans that you couldnt see the color of the seats
December 27, 200421 yr I remember when the Redskins moved into RFK stadium. They painted some of the seats different colors so it looked like they had people in em on TV. Maybe that's what Reinsdorf should look into.
December 27, 200421 yr Let's all just bring a can of spray paint and then you can have the color you want: Krylon Fusion
December 28, 200421 yr Hey, a Green Seats thread.....I think I'll post someth-...... :sleep Funny that exactly what happens when I read a Critic post
December 28, 200421 yr glad they're green, those blue ones always chapped my ass. (or was that the stuff going on in the field?) Seriously, you should try wearing pants to the game, dude.

What kind of general maintanance? They could have switched them around and brought the 'unused' ones down to the lower bowl.

The life span of those seats were 10 to 12 years, from what I've read. The point is that they were going to have to be replaced to keep the Cell from become a dump like Wrigley.

December 28, 200421 yr If that's the case, they got 15 years out of them, they did pretty darned well. I'm not sure of the numbers. I do know that they were reaching the end of their usefullness.
