I think it's better for the Sox not to be on anyones minds for the AL central title. I think it would be a sweeter victory for them to own the competition in the eyes of all those that didn't pick them this year.

Ozzie has said that the person that didnt go out and play hard like torrii that day after the collision was moved out of the organization. (CLee) guess oz didnt like lee's style.

I guess you could say that's a good thing.  We always were the first ones to say something.  It seemed like the thing that worked for the Twins in the past was that they didn't worry about us.  If Torii wants them worry about us this year, fine by me.

A good way to get Hunter, other than beating his team of course, would be to drill him right in the ribs.  Next time, in the back.  Next time, below the waist.  Etc.

Who throws the hardest on our team? Cliff Politte, right? With a comfortable lead, and hopefully a light workload preceeding his entrace, Politte MUST drill Hunter in his ribs.

 

While it would be labeled a cheap move by many, Buehrle simply throws too softly. I'd be scared asking the same of Garland/Hernandez/Garcia/Contreras; all of which could implode following a free pass.

 

Politte should enforce justice our first series with Minnesota.

Mike Jackson Pussed out the first game back.. Its over and done with IMO.. The Sox had a chance to make a statement.. and instead laid down.

FWIW, if Hermanson was on this team last year, I bet you he definitely would've plunked Hunter. I dunno how good Hermanson is, but everything I've heard about his attitude is thumbs up.

Perhaps Hermanson/Pierzynski will be an awesome combo for us this year. Both played for the Giants last year and probably know each other's tendencies. It will be interesting to see what the two of them add to this club this year.

We really lack that veteran guy that will put somebody on their back. Remember Matt Morris in the game after Jimmy Edmonds got hit in the ribs by Zambrano? We need to see more of that.

In my opinion, any White Sox pitcher from 2004 who wouldn't be willing to dust someone off would not be in the plans for 2005.

 

Not sure why someone would think Cliff Politte isn't tough enough, did I miss something he did or didn't do?
