John Quinn gets his walking papers

Featured Replies

The Bears waived quarterback Jonathan Quinn Tuesday after only one season with the club. A seven-year NFL veteran, Quinn signed with the Bears last March and played in five games during the 2004 season.

Quinn started the three games following Rex Grossman's season-ending knee injury. Starting for the first time since Nov. 18, 2001 when he played with Jacksonville, Quinn posted career highs with 26 completions on 43 attempts en route to a season-high 215 passing yards vs. Philadelphia on Oct. 3, 2004.

Quinn totaled 51 completions on 98 pass attempts for 413 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions for the season.

i can honestly say good riddance.... although i think he was used wrong last year to me he seemed to be a much better passer out of the shotgun and that was only used during the 2 minute drills but oh well goodbye quinn and good riddance.

Took them long enough... they should have shipped him after his 2nd game...
