Oscar Predictions

Featured Replies

Thought I'd start a thread where people can put forward who they would like to win the awards at the Oscars tomorrow night, and who'll they think will win. So post away, my list will be up tomorrow.

Some people will win.

I'll get bored and watch something else.

Chris Rock will not be funny.

I love Scorsese but Million Dollar Baby is probably the best of the bunch. I think it will get best pic, dir, and probably Swank. Foxx probably has best actor locked up.

Best Director: Martin Scorsese (The Aviator)

Best Supp. Actress: Virginia Madsen (Sideways)

Best Supp. Actor: Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby)

Best Actress: Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby)

Best Actor: Jamie Foxx (Ray)

Best Picture: Million Dollar Baby

That's all I care to predict, although I will be cheering for Sideways in pretty much every category it's in. I think it's pretty much a lock for Best Adapted Screenplay. And yes Paul Giamatti was robbed again, Clint Eastwood?! Give me a break.

Best Picture: Million Dollar Baby

Best Director: Scorsese (however it's spelled)

Best Actress: Imelda Stuanton

Best Actor: Jamie Fox

Best Supporting Actress: Cate Blanchette

Best Supporting Actor: Morgan Freeman

Adapted Screenplay: Sideways

Original screenplay: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

I think the only one that is locked up is Jamie Foxx for Best Actor. I'm kind of feeling Eastwood for Best Director and The Aviator for Best Picture.

Yeah all I can say is Jamie Foxx, otherwise I don't know who will win.

Jamie Foxx and Martine Scorsese are, without a doubt, two nominees guaranteed to win their categories.

Scorsese's past nominations, director whom won the award:

-2002: Gangs of New York.

Roman Polanski (The Pianist)

-1990: Goodfellas.

Kevin Costner (Dances with Wolves)

-1989: Last Temptation of Christ.

Barry Levinson (Rain Man)

-1981: Raging Bull.

Robert Redford (Ordinary People) :headshake

Scorsese has been robbed multiple times. Definelt should of won for Raging Bull and possibly Goodfellas, but Costner did deserve it for Dances With Wolves.

I agree that Scorsese has gotten it in the ass from the academy way too many times. I just don't think this year will be any different. I would love to see him win though.

Best Film - The Aviator

Best Director - Clint Eastwood

Best Actor - Jamie Foxx (pretty much a lock)

Best Actress - Hilary Swank

Best Supporting Actor - Morgan Freeman's probably going to get the nod here

Best Supporting Actress - I want Portman to win, and she's got a chance, but I think Blanchette's going to pull this one off.

The only award I care about is best original screenplay. If Charlie Kaufman's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind doesn't win, I'll announce the Oscars as crap.

Hear, hear!

Best actor will go to Jamie FoxX

This is what I want to see...

Best Picture: Million Dollar Baby or The Aviator

Best Actor: Clint Eastwood or Jamie Foxx (would prefer to see Eastwood)

Best Supporting Actor: Morgan Freeman

Best Actress: Hilary Swank

Best Supporting Actress: Virginia Madsen

I think that Chris Rock is going to have to Bob Saget himself so much that he will never be the same.
