Illinois fans, would you be disappointed?

Featured Replies

This was just brought up on ATH, and I thought it was kind of interesting. I'm not concerned about what you guys think about an undefeated season. If Illinois doesn't win it all, would you consider this a disappointing season?

This season, for the Illini, kind of reminds me of the Bulls historic 72-10 run in 1996. I think the motto for that post season was "it don't mean a thing without that ring!" I feel the same way about the Illini. It's either all or nothing.

the NCAA tourney is way too much of a crapshoot for me to be confident.

Getting to thef inal 4 is the minimum goal.

I'll be very happy with final four, but deep down it would be very disappointing.

especially if they run the table to st louie.

This year it would be crushing to not win it all. I'd eventually look back on the season with fond memories but it would be a huge disappointment if they don't win it all. And I'm sure the players and coaches would echo that.

I think that going in undefeated, there will be disappointment with a loss. Hopefully, were it to happen, it comes late so that they don't get a choke label

who knows with webers recruiting if we would have another shot in the near future.

It would be a disapointment.

I think you would have to. Look at the Flying Illini back in the late 80's. They weren't even undefeated, but when they loss against Michigan(a team they beat twice that year) it was dissapointing because it was one of those years they should've been there. I feel the same for this Illini team.

I know I'd be a bit dissapointed. The expectations are so high that I don't want them to buckle under such pressure.

the tourney's all i care about. screw the undefeated season...

dips***.

i think i'd be disappointed if they didn't get to the final four. anything can happen once you get there.

I'm not an Illinois fan per se (I do hope they win it all), but I think any fan of this team would be disappointed if they don't win it all. That is the goal, that is what you hope for.

But just because you are disappointed your team doesn't win, that doesn't mean you won't look back and be able to have positive memories of a great season.

You gotta look at it this way...After the Big Ten tourney, THEN it's undefeated or bust.
