If someone mentioned this, I missed it while "speed reading" this thread. It was that Wickman's error meant absolutely nothing. I have to disagree with that. To begin with, it gave us another out to work with. It also prevented an inning ending DP. Because Willie was standing on first, Wickman could not "nibble" while pitching to Uribe, nor could he walk him to get to Pods, if that would have been his choice. There are multiple ways that error could have contributed to the outcome of the game.
