valponick
What can I say, that was unreal....probably the best comeback I have ever seen in person. I must say the first 8 innings were nothing short of painful to watch. Garcia looked awful, our hitters looked confused at the plate, nothing was going our way at all. The crowd was small and for the most part dead. I have to admit I all but conceded the game after Hafners 2B in the top of the ninth. It all happened so fast, it was unbelievable.....I don't really know what to say, it was a fantastic finish but overall I think the team looked flat, either way good teams find a way to win and today we won

So whats the reason the flubs sell out everygame wether its noon or afternoon? Because they dont work. The attendance was near 11k.

Problem is, I'm not, and I can't take a day off, because I got an ACT on Saturday (wish me well ), and I have a huge AP test for American History coming up in the next couple weeks -- so we're going over everything, 1700-1990's. Anyways -- next year, I'm gonna try to make it to more of the day games in April, because hopefully then, I'll know where I'm going to school. Rowand44
I personally hate these 1 o'clock games, I can't get out to the park, I have to wire my headphones through my sweatshirt to listen to the first half of the game and then rush home to catch the last half. It's very hard for most people to get out to the stadium during these type of games because of work and/or school.
hi8is
did garcia really look that bad? i mean, from the box score line he did good, 6IP 2ER 6hits that looks good enough to me, but freddy can do better and will do better. did he really look as bad as you make it sound? i didnt get to see him pitch
Rowand44
No, Freddy was actually damn impressive. He struggled in the first 3 innings but worked hit butt off to only allow 2 runs in those first 3 and then dominated his next 3 innings. He kept getting himself into trouble but kept getting out of it. Had he not balked a run in, it would have looked a lot better. hi8is
i have faith that garcia will give us about 25 quality starts
SnB
The attendance was bad, first of all because it's a day game in april. Second of all, it's the day after opening day. Most people (not including us crazies) don't go to 2 games in a row. The size of the crowd didn't matter today, they witness and awesome game. valponick
Yes, Garcia did look that bad. He couldn't find the strike zone the entire game. He did a great job to only allow the 2 runs (should have been one but he balked in the second) but it was definitely not something I want to see out of Garcia again. Also, there is no way in hell there were even close to 10,500 people there which is what the announced attendance was.

Punch and Judy Garland
this is an odd and small thing but how neat looking was the catch on that sac fly? Just saw it on mlb tv arcive and loved how DJ said Wickman doesn't give up homers before Konerko came up. You can always count on the DJ jinx. THis time it worked for us

valponick
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 11:37 PM) Hey Nick, how was the commute? Well I almost didn't end up going today, I woke up with a little bit of a fever but I decided to man-up and go anyways (soooo glad I did) and then we found a 4th to go and he offered to drive so we didn't need to take the train, but we are going to the game vs Seattle on the 16th and taking the train then....best part is $7.50 tickets (teachers vouchers).
